Our science-fiction cross-platform series is going through the second draft of it’s script at present. After a very productive meeting with script editor Steve Brookes, at N.Ireland Screen last week, Ian McDonald, our illustrious writer, has been shaping the second draft of E8.
In the last couple of months we have been in talks to take the project to the next level, in preparation for raising the full production finance.
Online & digital production company ‘Pure Grass Films’ has come on board as exec producers to the project, and transmedia experts ‘NoMimes Media’ have agreed to work with us in the live city events and gaming aspects of the project.
No Mimes is made up of Steve Peters, Behnnam Karbassi & Maureen McHugh, all of whom have been involved with the best known ARGs that have taken place on our planet, from the Nine Inch Nails ‘Year Zero’ to ‘Why So Serious’ for the Batman movie ‘The Dark Knight’, from the ‘I Love Bees’ ARG for Halo 2 to Microsoft’s ‘The Vanishing Point.
Pure Grass Films specialise in the creation of short form video series which are designed for consumption across multiple platforms.
‘Beyond the Rave’ was created and produced by PGF, and financed and distributed by legendary Hammer Films, released on MySpace.
‘Kirill’ was produced by Pure Grass Films and Endemol UK. The series won a 2009 Webby for Best Drama Episode, and was also nominated for a Digital Emmy. Kirill was screened through MSN Entertainment.
