Have you seen this, Adam? #2 Samsara Film Trailer

The second in series of ‘Have You Seen This, Adam?’ in which users suggest clips from the internet to test Adam’s emotional responses to through the use of Sensum.

Hello and welcome once again to ‘Have You Seen This, Adam?’ I’m Adam and as the Guinea Pig of the Sensum office, I’ll be recording and sharing my emotional response to the videos you think will get my emotions running using the cutting-edge Sensum product.

This week, you absolutely adorable bunch of folks gave me a week off to bask in one of the best trailers I have seen in a long time; the visual-wonder that was ‘Samsara’.

When I first hit play, I was suspicious as to what type of film this was, as the music suggested it was some sort of arty-horror that would end up with me jumping out of my seat. One of the title cards backed up my theory:

Furthermore, this first image (causing the first peak in the graphic visualisation) didn’t help!

However, all became well when this cute little guy appeared on screen (Enter suitable awwwwwwhhhhh sound):

Although at this point you can see the graph rising, which it does until the end of the trailer, it doesn’t rise as rapidly as in last week’s video (when I was squirming in my seat from horror!). There are small peaks and dips, and remembering how I felt at the time, this is from the constantly changing scenes and visuals with the music building.

Here is a close up, and you can just see an ever so slight change in the visualisation:

And from the final shot, you can that the visualisation doesn’t go past orange (red being the highest).

Watching this trailer I felt a mixture of being relaxed and amazed as to what I was seeing. I was also waiting for some form of story line or dialogue, but half way through I gathered it was a form of non-verbal documentary or something.

You can see from the screen grabs that my excited, but calm state is shown in the visualisation. What a lovely wee video it was.

So there we have it. Another week done, and being the happy chappy that I am, it’s time for a cup of tea!
