Since what we created for the Belfast Music iPhone app was a world-first, and the fact that we’re now creating the Literary Belfast iPhone app, we felt that we had created an interesting model that we could roll out to other cities.
As a result of a lot of spec’ing and research into what we could do for both of our apps, as well as ways we would like to advance the apps in the future, as well as different models for free vs paid-for apps.
we’ve also been looking at a number of different ways to use content management systems, feeds from other sources, and social networking tools.
Over the last 3 months we’ve been building up our network of regional development agencies, and have pitched city apps for creative industries to a number of cities, so this tour is to build on those relationships, and to see if we can get some business in a space that we feel has only just begun .. mobile apps.
